Make your band part of the Rock & Roll Library Tour!
The Rock & Roll Library Tour, presented by The Black River Group, offers bands the chance to tap into an international network of thousands of libraries. Consider adding libraries to your planned tour in support of a new album or contact us about creating an exclusive tour of libraries to get your name out there.
The library advantage
The approximately 10,000 public libraries in the United States and Canada are the perfect venues to promote your music. Each library offers:
- a special connection to its community and a basis of goodwill - people associate the library with good things
- saturation advertising in the form of a newsletter that goes to each taxpayer
- an all-ages venue in a location where people are comfortable exploring something new
- a variety of options in terms of performance space, sale of your work, and the setup of your program
The Black River advantage
We take the guesswork out of adding libraries to your tour with our extensive contacts and understanding of the library world.
- We organize tours of any size, ranging from nationally in the US and/or Canada to small regional tours or one-stop programs.
- We can work with your own publicist, agent, or label to enrich an existing tour with stops at libraries. Programs at libraries do pay (we will work with you to set the fee structure) and offer you the chance to sell CDs.
- Programs can take a variety of forms - along with a performance, add a Q&A session, lead a workshop on the creative process, or write an original song on with the help of the kids in attendance. Bring us your ideas and we'll make them work. You can also increase your dividends by doing multiple programs at each site.
- We take care of administrative details like scheduling, contracts, lodging, and publicity. All you have to do is perform.
The Black River Group also organizes library tours for other musical acts, artists, filmmakers, writers, poets, and performers. Learn more.
